Kadie Lawson
Founder & Clinical Counsellor
M.Ed., RCC
Welcome! My name is Kadie Lawson, I am a Masters trained psychotherapist. I began my career in 2013 as a public-school educator and special education specialist. I served vulnerable youth and families with a particular focus upon developmental trauma and family systems. In 2020, I completed my Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology at Simon Fraser University and became a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
As a licensed psychotherapist, I began my practice with the mission to provide women with a safe and secure space to access support. While mental health is relevant to everyone, women face a unique set of mental health challenges which are specific to the female experience. My mission is to provide safety and connection; a space where women can feel seen and heard without judgement.
Perhaps you are navigating traumatic lived experiences and are exhausted and depleted in every form. You cannot bear to be called “strong” once more, because it was never a choice to begin with; the only choice was to carry on and take care of others. I see you and you are not alone. If you wish to feel more empowered, self-compassionate, and grounded in yourself and your ability to express your needs, I can support you in reaching your goals. It doesn’t have to be “me first”, it can be “me too”.
